Matisse is 20 and is a graduate of Atascadero High School. She is currently attending Cuesta College to stay close to home and her business. She is also attending dance classes at Allan Hancock College in preparation to transfer to California State University of Long Beach to major in Dance Science. She has been dancing since she first could walk, but her formal training started in 2006. Her love for dance shows in her dedication to her training. She loves to work with young children and teach others what she knows. She is a former member of God Squad Dance Crew and has trained at Main Street Dance, Motions, and Atascadero High School. She has also been a student teacher at Motions and Main Street Dance.
Being very attuned to the stress which dance can put on the body, she has also taken classes in Sport Medicine, nutrition, First Aid, Kinesiology, Yoga, Pilates and she is CPR certified. She plans to dance forever and help other dancers improve technique and reduce injury. Her favorite dance style is contemporary, but she also enjoys ballet and hip-hop. Beyond dance, Matisse spends a lot of her free time competitively racing Hobie Catamaran sail boats through out the U.S.
